Super Mario Trivia
The Mario Bros. consist of Mario Mario and Luigi Mario. They are the Mario Brothers because their last name is Mario. This is why it isn't the Luigi brothers. (Note: This has been confirmed by Miyamato-san himself)

I always heard that Mario was named for Nintendo's first land lord in North Bend, Washington, while Luigi was the name of a local pizzeria that they ate at???
