As much as I hate to admit it, if Microsoft really wanted to hurt Linux it wouldn't be that hard.  I don't think they could affect the hardcore geek crowd, but that's not what really matters.  It's the "suits" that sign all the paychecks, are the least educated, and the most influential.  It will be very interesting to see where we are in a year.
