Wow!  I've gotten a lot done on my linux box today.  It probably hates me, but that's ok.  I finally got VNC working on it, so I can now VNC to an XWindows session on it.  Took forever to get X installed from the RPMs because I hadn't installed it to begin with.  Lot of depencies etc.

So I finally get it installed and all you get is a boring xterm.  I had to install helix-gnome which went pretty smooth.  So now I'm trying to install gtk+ and glib.  Glib has some nasty dependencies...  Grrrrrrrrrrr!  I think I got most of it working now.
