I sure hopes this works- autoplay has been driving me batty, every time I'd get rid of it and set a restore point the next time I booted up there it was again!!! I'll let ya knowhow things turn out.
Thank u thank u this DID take care of my problem!
Thank you, it works nicely!
Worked for External Hard Drives as well.
Thanks!
Thanks alot. No more Autoplay headache for me!
Cheers,
Brad
Thanks so much! I have tried long and hard to find a solution, and now I have, thanks to you!!
OK Great stuff, the autoplay feature itself is gone, but I still get the dingding-dongdong chime occasionally. How do I get rid of that ? Please, Thanks......Jim
Because of some bug in gpedit, this doesn't work all the time, and viruses can find way to avoid this protection. The best way to disable autoplay/autorun is using tool Autoplay Disabler Pro ( http://www.autoplaydisabler.us ). It's easy to use, free to download, and it really works!
