PGP Disk

Justin alerted me to a really cool piece of software: PGPDisk. It's only included with older version of PGP (previous to 6.5) unfortunately. But that version still works just fine on my system.

Basically you create an encrypted volume of X megabytes. It's a simple file that's X megabytes in size. You then "mount" that file using PGPDisk and it shows up as a drive letter. You can copy to and from that new virtual drive completely transparently. When you're done (or your machine is idle too long) it unmounts that drive and all you have is the file, which is heavily encrypted. Very good way to store files securely.
